ORMOS
A small town by the seaside in the southern part of the island. Ideal for relaxation, having lots of entertainment options at the same time.
The large beach by the village and the smaller ones, Agia Aikaterini and Vintzi, will satisfy you. It is worthy to swim at the impressive beach "Grias Pidima", which you will reach by a short walk.
Visit Pano Kastro (Upper Castle or Faneromeni Castle), near Kochylou, and admire the fortification and the spectacular view. See the picturesque pigeon-houses (peristeriones) and walk through the old traditional footpaths. In Dipotamata valley examine the unique water-mills, scattered in an area of great natural beauty, which is being transformed to an ecological museum of water-power.
